6 May - Beto Kusyairy recently took to social media to express his sadness over the loss of veteran star Jalil Hamid, who passed away on 4 May.

On the same day of the news, the actor posted a photo of him with Jalil on Facebook, writing, "A safe return and a peaceful rest in the land of eternity, abah. You will always be my favourite onscreen father and I am so lucky to have the chance to work with you, sir."

"All the memories we spent on set, all the magic we created... I shall treasure it all. You will be missed!" he added.

In the same message, he offered his condolences to all members of Jalil's family.

It is noted that Beto has worked with Jalil Hamid multiple times including the movie, "Bisik Pada Langit".

The movie also stars Ummi Nazeera, who posted her own tribute to Jalil, saying, "I am thankful to be given the chance to play his daughter in 'Bisik Pada Langit' a few years ago. It is a memory I will keep forever."

Jalil Hamid passed away on 4 May, with family members revealing that he died in his sleep. He was 69.
