24 Feb - In response to overwhelming audience support, Malaysian distributors Five Star Trading and Brilliant Pictures officially announce the release of BACK TO THE PAST PLUS+ Multiverse Edition, arriving in cinemas across Malaysia on 26 February 2026.

Produced by Louis Koo and directed by Ng Yuen Fai and Jack Lai, with legendary action master Sammo Hung serving as the film's Action Choreographer, the film reunites the original cast - Louis Koo, Raymond Lam, Jessica Hsuan, Sonija Kwok, and Joyce Tang - in an epic on-screen reunion 25 years in the making.

Since its Malaysian release on 31st December last year, the film has enjoyed a phenomenal box office run. To thank fans for their unwavering support, the PLUS+ Multiverse Edition will present 24 minutes of previously unseen footages, expanding the story with an ambitious multiverse concept and delivering a more immersive time-travel spectacle.

The new edition continues Hong Siu Long's legendary journey across fractured timelines, exploring the infinite possibilities of destiny. How will he navigate shifting dimensions?

Since its release, BACK TO THE PAST has dominated the Malaysian box office, becoming the first Chinese-language film of 2026 in Malaysia to surpass RM15 million. Across Hong Kong and Macau, the film has likewise achieved remarkable success, with cumulative earnings exceeding HKD 90 million, ranking among the top four highest-grossing Hong Kong films of all time in the region.

To celebrate the festive season, the film has released a special Chinese New Year edition of its iconic theme song. Featuring a newly arranged festive version, the song is performed by Louis Koo, Raymond Lam, Jessica Hsuan, Sonija Kwok and Kevin Chu, bringing together Hong Siu Long's family and the Qin Emperor to send New Year blessings through music.

The CNY version music video sees beloved characters reunited once again, crossing time and space to celebrate the season - ushering in a new year filled with courage and hope.
