Comedy legend Catherine O'Hara passed away at 71
11 Feb - More than a week after news of her passing shocked the movie world, Catherine O'Hara's cause of death has finally been determined.

According to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, the actress, who passed away on 30 January, died from a pulmonary embolism, with rectal cancer being the underlying cause of death.

It was also revealed that O'Hara was cremated, with her remains being kept by husband, Robert Welch.

Known for iconic classic films such as "Home Alone" and "Beetlejuice," the actress enjoyed a newfound fame in the 2010s through the comedy series, "Schitt's Creek". Her last role was in "The Studio".

She was 71.
