27 Jul - Yes, there will be movie number three for "Black Panther," and "The Long Walk" star David Jonsson will be in it.

The 32-year-old Londoner has been announced to play the role of Prince T'Challa II, the son of T'Challa (played by the late Chadwick Boseman). The character was previously played as a child by Divine Love Konadu-Son in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever".

"Thank you to this amazing family that I have the honour and privilege and the blessing to join," Jonsson said following the announcement made at the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The upcoming film, which will still be helmed by Ryan Coogler, will be filmed on 70mm and released in theatres in December 2028.

It is noted that the late Chadwick Boseman was originally set to reprise his role in the "Black Panther" sequel. However, he passed away in 2020 from colon cancer.

The sequel was then focused on the character Shuri, who took up the mantle following T'Challa's passing.
