Hayden Panettiere's cause of death still under investigation

20 Aug - Things are getting much more serious as it was reported that the US' Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has joined the investigation into the death of "Heroes" actress, Hayden Panettiere.

Sources revealed that piece of information on 19 August following reports that her cause and manner of death are still under investigation.

It is noted that a 911 dispatch audio obtained by Page Six previously revealed that paramedics responded to a call about an "unidentified female" in "cardiac arrest" on 16 August, prior to the news of her passing.

The audio also revealed that the female was given CPR for the "overdose".

Panettiere had been open about her struggles with alcohol and opioid addiction before, and even spoke about it in her memoir, "This Is Me: A Reckoning".

This is not the first time that the DEA had joined in an investigation into a celebrity death. In 2023, the LAPD collaborated with the agency to investigate the death of Matthew Perry, after he was found to have high levels of ketamine in his system.
