18 Aug - Tributes have started pouring in for actress Hayden Panettiere, whose death was announced on 16 August.

"Heroes" writer and producer Bryan Fuller remembered her as "a muse", saying, "Wise beyond her years and already saddled with so much of a life, she left an indelible mark on me as a writer and a storyteller. Incredibly sad news."

Award-winning actress Viola Davis, who worked with Panettiere in "Custody," expressed, "What an amazing talent you were....so gifted. Julius and I loved working with you....an old, wise soul with such a deep heart. I wish the world had more time with you because I had a burning curiosity about who you were becoming. I saw this beautiful phoenix rising from the ashes. Your tests became your testimony, and your testimony became your legacy."

Emma Roberts, the actress' co-star in "Scream 4," shared a photo of them together and wrote, "Rest in peace, my sweet friend. You are so loved and you will be forever missed."

Bethany Joy Lenz was one of Panettiere's close friends

Panettiere's close friend and "One Tree Hill" star Bethany Joy Lenz also penned a lengthy post in tribute to her, and concluded, "I don't understand how this is real. Everything seemed to be turning around. She was coming BACK to life, wasn't she? It's too young and there's still so much more life. And her daughter.... Hayden, you are surround by love. I'm sorry for every moment I didn't reach out or check in. This can't be real."

Sendhil Ramamurthy was Panettiere's co-star in "Heroes"

Her "Heroes" co-star Sendhil Ramamurthy also shared a photo of him with Panettiere, and wrote, "The above pic was taken in Vegas the day after the Golden Globes. We had to do press and I wasn't feeling well. Hayd kept going on and on at me about drinking fluids and made sure I had plenty of Gatorade. That's how I will remember her: a kind, joyful, professional, shi*talker, who even at a young age, understood the importance of hydration. Sending love to her family, friends, and my fellow cast mates, RIP Hayd. You will be missed."
