22 Apr - It was reported that Shah Rukh Khan is set to return to the sequel of his hit 2023 movie following his work on "King".

Sources recently revealed that the Atlee-helmed "Jawan," which was previously revealed to be developing movie number two, has now new development.

"A script and idea for Jawan 2 had been in the works for a while. A few weeks ago, the script was finalised. SRK will begin work on the film after completing King," said an insider.

The same source stated that the production team is now looking to cast an A-list actor from the south to play the villain.

The original movie, which co-stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupahi and Deepika Padukone among others, was the first Hindi movie for rising director, Atlee.

The film grossed over US 130 million at the box-office, becoming the highest-grossing Indian of 2023. It also won SRK Best Actor at the 71st National Film Awards.
