11 Jun - The makers of Yash's "Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups" has dismissed recent rumours that have circulated due to its delayed release.

Earlier, it was alleged that the Kannada star was unhappy with certain parts of the film, leading to KVN Productions deciding to add a 100-day reshoot. Some even estimated that the cost would be nearly Rs 40 crore for the producer.

However, sources close to the production team had since denied this in response to question by NDTV, saying that no reshoots have been planned.

It is noted that the movie was originally slared to be released on 19 March, which would have seen it competing with Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandhar 2". However, following the Iran War in February, KVN released a statement saying that the release was delayed to 4 June so that it can be released in the Middle East at the same time.

In April, Yash put out a statement on his social media announcing that the movie, which debuted at Comic-Con in San Diego, would not be released on the new date as well.

"Presenting our film at CinemaCon and witnessing the overwhelming global response reaffirmed what we have always believed: this film deserves to reach its fullest potential worldwide," he posted.

There has been no official word on the new release date.
