Street racing drama "Malaikat Malam" is in the fast lane
3 Apr - "Malaikat Malam" proves there is still market for street racing films, as it breaks RM10.2 million in the first week of its release plus initial screenings.

Produced in collaboration with several major studios including Viper Studios, Skop Productions, Astro Shaw and Primeworks Studios, the Syafiq Kyle-starrer has been in cinemas nationwide since 26 March.

Since its release, the film has received various reactions from audiences and has now grown into a wave of positive support. The success also reflects the audiences' confidence in the directorial debut of Nazifdin Nasrudin aka Bujoq, who previously penned hit films like "Sheriff: Narko Integriti" and "Malam Terlarang".

Datuk Dr. Yusof Haslam, Chairman of Skop Productions stated, "We are very grateful for the incredible support from the audience. This achievement shows that a story that is close to the reality of society, combined with strong entertainment elements, can attract many people. We hope that Malaysian audiences will continue to support Malaikat Malam as well as other local films."

The film tells the story of a rider named Azam, whose chance encounter with the vision impaired Ratna becomes a major turning point in his life.

"Malaikat Malam" co-stars Tracie Sinidol, Amir Nafis, Kodi Rasheed, Juzzthin, Riezman Khuzaimi, Akmal Asyraf, and is also the comeback vehicle for award-winning actor, Que Haidar.
