1 Jul - Mani Ratnam and Vijay Sethupathi prove that they are a powerhouse duo, after it was revealed that their upcoming project had already been in talks for an OTT deal. Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to the upcoming untitled film, to be helmed by the award-winning filmmaker. Mani Ratnam is reuniting with Vijay following their 2018 film, 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.'"
The OTT deal reportedly has a price tag of nearly Rs 20 crore, making it one of the biggest preproduction OTT deals for a Tamil movie.
The movie is expected to begin filming on 5 July, with AR Rahman hired to manage the score. Tentatively titled "Production No. 23," the movie will also star Sai Pallavi in her first ever collaboration with Mani and Vijay. Vijay Sethupathi, who has been enjoying a newfound global fame since starring in the 2024 film, "Maharaja," already has four new projects currently in the works.
