12 Feb - Horror auteurs Mike Flanagan and Stephen King are set to collaborate again, this time for a new adaptation of King's '80s novella, "The Mist".

The director, who has worked with King on several adaptations including "Doctor Sleep" and "Gerald's Game," will also be penning the screenplay for the movie, and produce it under Red Room banner alongside Tyler Thompson.

The novella, which was a part of King's horror anthology, "Skeleton Crew," tells the story of a group of townsfolk who shelter themselves in a local grocery store after a thick mysterious fog produces creatures that now see humans as prey.

The novella was previously adapted into a movie in 2007 starring Thomas Jane and Marcia Gay Harden and another TV series in 2017.

It is noted that Flanagan is also working on turning King's "Carrie" into a miniseries for Prime Video.
