Nag Ashwin directs Amitabh Bachchan for "Kalki 2898 AD"

9 Jun - Nag Ashwin has recently shared some updates on the sequel to "Kalki 2898 AD," stating that shooting will resume next month.

The filmmaker, who spoke to Aakashavaani recently, shared that filming of the second movie is now progressing, adding, "Kalki 2 has already begun. We are making preparations to continue shooting from next month and complete it at a rapid pace."

It was previously reported that the team is planning an extensive filming schedule in order to complete a significant portion by April 2027, thus enable ample time for postproduction work that takes up a lot of time.

The sequel will have Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan reprising their roles as Bhairava/Karna, Ashwatthama and Supreme Yaskin, respectively.

However, it was earlier reported that Deepika Padukone will not be returning for the sequel.
