9 Mar - Yet another sequel is coming, as Pixar was revealed to have plans to develop a third "Monsters, Inc." film.

The news was shared by The Wall Street Journal, stating that the studio is currently working on the third movie following the success of the first animated feature and its 2013 sequel, "Monsters University".

No further information has been revealed whether Pete Docter, who is now the CCO of Pixar, will return to direct the project, or whether its main voice stars Billy Crystal and John Goodman will be reprising the roles of Mike Wazowski and Sulley.

The original film tells the story of Mike and Sulley, who work at a monster power company that generate energy by scaring children. Things go awry when Sulley accidentally lets a little human girl sneak into the factory.

The original feature made USD 579.7 million at the box office, while its sequel grossed USD 743.6 million.

"Monsters University" was released 12 years after the first film
