Horror flick "Polong" rakes in RM12 million

9 Jun - "Polong" continues to prove that horror will always be Malaysian viewers' choice, as it has now made RM12 million after 11 days of release.

The news was revealed by Primeworks Studios on 8 June via social media, stating, "RM12 MILLION AND STILL HAUNTING MALAYSIA. From a whisper, it has now become a horror phenomenon that haunts the entire country."

"Thank you Malaysia for continuing to respond to the call of POLONG and making this film one of the most talked about horror films at the moment!"

The movie tells the story of Maria Hadi (Jun Lojong), a woman who is seeking atonement in her last days of living after years of black magic and past sins by trying to release her "polong" to another.
