Ram Charan takes break to recover from wrist surgery

29 Jul - Ram Charan has successfully undergone surgery for his aggravated wrist injury.

In a statement released by the Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, the actor was operated upon by Dr Rajasekaran, Dr Badia, Dr Praveen Bharadwaj and their team of specialists. It added that hand and wrist specialist Dr Alejandro Badia from Miami also joined the surgical team.

Ram is now recovering well, according to the statement, and has been advised to undergo a structured rehabilitation programme and take a few weeks off before resuming work.

He will only return to filming after receiving a greenlight from the doctors.

The actor is expected to begin shooting his new project, tentatively titled "RC17" following his recovery. The movie will be helmed by Sukumar of "Pushpa" fame.
