3 Jun - Che Puan Sarimah Ibrahim recently admitted that she is still unsatisfied with the lack of concrete explanation as to why her movie, "Konspirasi" has been taken off the screening schedule in cinemas since last week.

The actress, who spoke to the media regarding the issue surrounding the movie, said that she was disappointed that the statement issued by Elepfilm Entertainment Sdn Bhd and the National Film Development Corporation of Malaysia (FINAS) did not seem to provide a clear answer regarding the real reason why the screening of the film "Konspirasi" was stopped after 28 May.

"The statement did not answer the question... So, of course I am disappointed. It's like we did an assignment, then submitted it to the teacher, but the teacher doesn't want to give us a mark," she said.

Sarimah said that as an actor who was directly involved in the promotion of the film, she deserves a better explanation from the producer.

"I just wanted to know why? We had successfully promoted it and made various plans. We haven't gotten an answer to that question yet. Some asked us to ask the producers themselves and we asked, but we still haven't received an answer. Why is this film still being screened in Singapore? Only the producers can answer," she said.

Elepfilm Entertainment recently clarified that the decision was made based on the company's internal considerations, not as a publicity or marketing strategy. They also added that the decision was not influenced by any party.

Previously, Elepfilm Entertainment was reported to have confirmed that the screening of "Konspirasi" had been halted in cinemas nationwide starting 28 May. However, the same statement stated that the screening of the film in Singapore and other countries was not affected.
