5 May - "The Devil Wears Prada 2" proves that some sequels are equal, as it catwalks its way to the box office after three days of release.

The movie, which sees the return of Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep as Andy Sachs and Miranda Priestley, made USD 77 million in North America alone, and USD 156.6 million internationally, bringing a total global cume of USD 233.6 million.

The movie currently has one of the best opening numbers for a female-fuelled film, and is third when it comes to opening numbers behind the biopic "Michael" and Ryan Gosling-starrer, "Project Hail Mary".

Meanwhile, "Michael" has now earned USD 183.8 million in the US and USD 240.1 million overseas, bringing a total of USD 400 million. However, it has a long way to go to surpass the biggest biopic ever, "Bohemian Rhapsody," which made USD 910 million at the box office in 2018.
