Tim Curry passed away peacefully at age 80

3 Sep - The cause of death for British thespian Tim Curry has now been revealed.

PEOPLE recently obtained documents from the LA County Department of Public Health, which revealed that the "IT" star died of coronary artery disease.

It also listed a history of stroke and kidney cancer as other significant conditions, but stated that they did not result in the underlying cause of his death.

The document also stated that no operations were performed for any of his underlying conditions.

Curry's death was revealed to the public on 25 August, with his manager saying he died peacefully at his home in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles.

He was 80.
