28 Jul - It looks like animated features are the bankable product now, as "Toy Story 5" became the latest to join the billion-dollar club this year.

The film, which sees the return of Woody and the gang, has now surpassed the USD 1 billion mark, earning USD 448 million in North America and USD 573 million internationally, bringing a global cume of USD 1.022 billion.

It marks the third film to have reached the mark this year, following "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" and "Michael".

On the other hand, "The Odyssey" seems to be following close behind, after earning USD 639.6 million after only two weekends of release.
