2 Jan - "Zootopia 2" has now become the highest grossing Walt Disney Animation Studios' film ever, after its latest tally brought a total gross of USD 1.46 billion at the box office.

The movie, which has Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman voicing the lead characters of Nick and Judy, has now made USD 33 million in the US and USD 1.13 billion overseas, besting previous record-holder, "Frozen 2" at USD 1.45 billion.

"Frozen 2" was previously Disney's biggest animation

"Inside Out 2" is still the biggest Hollywood animation
However, the film has yet to surpass the Disney-Pixar film, "Inside Out 2," which made USD 1.69 billion at the box office last year.

Meanwhile, the currently highest grossing animated movie of all time is the mainland 2025 film, "Ne Zha 2," which stand at USD 2.2 billion.
