5 Mar - Sony Pictures Entertainment Malaysia is proud to announce a historic collaboration that brings a local touch to a global powerhouse: The voice behind the brave and powerful Archie in the English release of the highly anticipated film "GOAT" belongs to none other than the nation's premier action star, Zul Ariffin!

In a career-defining move, Zul stepped away from the high-octane action movie sets he is known for and into the recording booth to bring Archie to life. While the film features a star-studded international lineup, this exclusive version of the film is available only in Malaysia, giving local fans a unique opportunity to hear their favourite hero on the global stage.

This marks an iconic milestone for the actor, as it represents his very first time voicing an animated character in English. Furthermore, Zul Ariffin has officially made history as the first Malaysian actor to voice a character in an English-language film alongside a Hollywood cast. A proud moment not just for him, but for Malaysia.

Sony Pictures Entertainment Malaysia expressed its excitement regarding the collaboration, stating, "Sony Pictures Entertainment Malaysia is thrilled to work with Zul Ariffin on this project. From the beginning, we saw striking similarities between him and the character of Archie - both are inherently powerful, sporty, and command a massive presence. This local-exclusive version allows us to bridge the gap between Hollywood animation and Malaysian hearts."

Produced by NBA legend Stephen Curry and the visionary artists behind "KPop Demon Hunters" and "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," the movie arrives exclusively in Malaysian cinemas on 19 March 2026.

"GOAT" tells the story of an anthropomorphic goat who aspires to become the greatest of all time at a basketball-like sport known as roarball.
