The SHINJUKU INCIDENT

In the early 1990`s, a tractor mechanic from China nicknamed Steelhead illegally enters Japan to search for his girlfriend. To make ends meet, he joins his friend in Shinjuku in doing menial labour. Steelhead finds out that his girlfriend has married Eguchi, a Japanese Yakuza leader. Steelhead decides to stay on in Japan and work for Eguchi as a hitman. Soon, Steelhead gets used to the power and finds himself embroiled so deeply in the ways of the underworld that there is no turning back.
Pada awal tahun 90-an, seorang mekanik traktor berasal dari China yang dikenali sebagai Steelhead masuk ke Jepun secara haram semata-mata ingin mencari teman wanitanya itu. Bagi menampung kehidupan, dia bersama rakannya, Jie (Daniel Wu) bekerja sebagai buruh kasar di Shijuku. Steelhead mendapat tahu bahawa teman wanitanya itu sudah mengahwini Eguchi (Ken Watanabe), ketua Yakuza Jepun. Steelhead membuat keputusan untuk tinggal di Jepun dan bekerja di bawah Eguchi sebagai pembunuh upahan. Tidak lama selepas itu, Steelhead mendapati dirinya terlibat dalam dunia penjenayahan dan tidak mungkin mampu berpatah balik.
