Muallaf (MIFFEST)

Two Malay sisters, 20 year old Rohani and 14 year old Rohana, are on the run from their wealthy, abusive father. Finding refuge in a small town, they meet Brian, a 30 year old Catholic school teacher who finds himself irresistibly drawn to the sisters and their extraordinary courage. This relationship inevitably forces Robert to confront a haunting memory of his own troubled childhood.
"Muallaf" mengisahkan dua adik-beradik berbangsa Melayu, Rohani (Sharifah Amani), berusia 20 tahun dan Rohana (Sharifah Aleysha), 14 tahun, melarikan diri daripada ayahnya yang kaya dan suka mendera. Ketika mencari perlindungan di sebuah pekan kecil, mereka bertemu Brian Goh (Brian Yap), seorang guru sekolah Katolik berusia 30 tahun yang kagum dengan keberanian kedua adik-beradik ini. Hubungan ini telah memaksa Brian untuk berdepan dengan kisah silamnya yang bermasalah ketika zaman kanak-kanak.
