Watch this if you liked: “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1”, “Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince”

There is plenty of anticipation for the final chapter of the "Harry Potter "franchise. Whether you are an avid fan of the books or just a regular moviegoer, excitement is bound to arise. However, the latest and final instalment fails to live up to the hype.

"Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2" starts off on a fast note, allowing the story to flow with effects that dazzles as it excites. Fans of the franchise will be thrilled to see the movie lead itself from the harrowing escape of Gringgots Bank to the battle in Hogwarts. However, David Yates, who has also brought the previous three instalments to success, fails to sustain the excitement untill the climactic battle scene against Voldemort and the 'Boy who Lived'.

The plot of the film follows Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and his loyal companions Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger ( Emma Watson) as they battle through various perils to find and destroy the remaining Hocruxes. However, this time around, it is Hogwarts itself who takes the centre stage.

That being said, the performances in the film are to watch out for. Ralph Fiennes is brilliant in his role as Voldemort, hissing his way till the very end. Alan Rickman shines as well, playing the surprising turn that is Professor Severus Snape. It is his character that tugs at the heartstrings of audiences around, as this final instalment draws itself to a close. These characters have grown with audiences and fans alike in the past decade, and you can't help but to feel that you're being drawn into the movie.

On a side note, secondary characters like Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis) show us that underdogs definitely have a way of redeeming themselves. However, Yates does not give enough credit to the departure of certain beloved characters as he did in the first part of the "Deathly Hallows".

Alexandre Desplat returns with an amazing score, allowing each scene to be truly felt by the audiences. It is riveting, haunting and sad when it needs to be, and this is probably where the film succeeds most. He brings out the emotions of the film with his brilliant symphony.

"Harry Potter And The Deadly Hallows: Part 2" will satisfy, seeing the claps and tears that swept the cinema hall. However, it might disappoint some moviegoers especially towards the second half of the film. Fans will be left with mixed feelings as the franchise takes its final bow.
