Sanjana (Asin) is a runaway bride while Prem (Salman Khan) is a runaway rogue. The story revolves around the both sides of Sanjana's family (mum's and dad's relatives) who wants her to get married with their respective choices. When Sanjana runs away, she bumps into Prem and his loving family. As the couple fall in love, Prem decides to takes the role of "Mr. Fix-it" to bring Sanjana's both families together as one. With the help of his entire family and a confused accountant named Balidaan (Paresh Rawal), the story gets even funnier as its goes. That's not all, the film also has a few surprise cameos along the way.

The beauty of the characters in "Ready" is the involvement of the entire cast as each played their comedic roles gracefully. It's nice to see the characters such as the uncles and aunties and even the extras in the film, actually cracking a joke or two to put a smile on the audiences face. Salman Khan's one-liners, Mahesh Manjrekar and Paresh Rawal's wonderful comedic timing are surely not to be missed as well.

Salman Khan is definitely on a roll. After the success of films like "Wanted" and "Dabangg", he is ready with "Ready" which has his stamp all over it. Director (Anees Bazmee) makes sure that the audience gets entertained. In fact, there is hardly any time to ponder on the other aspects of the film other than what is unfolding on the screen. Though there is nothing spectacular about the storyline, it still manages to make one laugh loudly.

The music director and background music; Pritam, gives a smashing soundtrack for "Ready". Songs like "Character Deela" by Neeraj Shridhar and Amrita Kak and "Mere Ada Bhi" by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Tulsi Kumar are a good variety, but the highlight of the film will definitely be the song "Dhingka Chika" by Mika Singh and Amrita Kak, which can really register at ones mind even after the film is over.

Overall, "Ready" is already a hit from beginning to the end. However, the reviewer would agree that most of the fighting sequences were over the top but then again, which Bollywood film ever had proper fighting scenes anyways? The film prides itself with its superb music, gags, gimmicks and of course, Salman Khan.
