Wrath Of The Titans
A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Worthington) attempts to live a quiet life as a fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. However, a struggle for supremacy is raging among the gods and the Titans on Mount Olympus. Dangerously weakened by the lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers; Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. Perseus can`t ignore his true calling when Hades (Fiennes), along with Zeus` godly son, Ares (Ramírez), in a move of betrayal, declare loyalty to Kronos and make a deal to capture Zeus. As Zeus is left to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, the Titans` strength grew stronger. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen, Andromeda (Pike), Poseidon`s demigod son, Argenor (Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, defeat the Titans and save mankind.

Audiences tend to have higher expectations on the sequel of a particular blockbuster and often are disappointed with the results when it does not meet the standard of quality set by the original piece, however, release your bated breaths as this is not repeated with "Wrath Of The Titans".
South African director Jonathan Liebesman continues the "Titans" franchise with his directorial effort in "Wrath Of The Titans", which follows Perseus (Sam Worthington) once again as the demigod struggling to survive a quiet life. But alas he is propelled into peril as he tries to rescue Zeus who has been imprisoned in the underworld by Kronos; the father of Zeus, Hades and Poseidon (Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Danny Huston) and also fight the powerful Titans to save mankind.
Liebesman does a great job in bringing back the A-list actors like Neeson, Fiennes and Worthington together again. Besides making Perseus' heroism stand out as the focus of the story rather than playing on mythology too much, Liebesman also brings forth the humanity and brotherhood between Zeus and Hades during their difficult circumstances.
Applauses for Worthington's effort in portraying Perseus so well especially in the action scenes that depict the battle against fierce creatures and gargantuan monsters. Apart from the main character's journey in the story, audience will also be pleased by the appearance of English comedian Bill Nighy as the fallen god Hephaestus, as he pleasantly adds some sense of humour to the intense storyline.
Despite the mediocre storyline, "Wrath Of The Titans" is still somewhat impressive as its dramatic violence and non-stop action is capable to make one go into a Greek myth frenzy!
Apart from the standard 35mm version, "Wrath Of The Titans" is also available in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D versions.
