The story is about a Marathi girl named Meenakshi Deshpande (Rani Mukerji) who falls in love with a Tamil artist named Surya (Prithviraj). Mostly, she is entranced by his good smell, and is determined to woo him. It is a quirky and funny love story set against the backdrop of a Marathi-Tamil cultural clash. This film is also Malayalam actor Prithviraj`s Bollywood debut.
Filem ini mengisahkan tentang seorang gadis Marathi bernama Meenakshi Deshpande (Rani Mukerji) yang jatuh cinta terhadap seorang artis Tamil bernama Surya (Prithviraj). Hampir setiap masa dia tertarik dengan bau wangian Surya dan cuba untuk memikatnya. Filem komedi yang berkait rapat dengan takdir ini turut membawa elemen pertembungan budaya Tamil-Marathi. Ianya juga merupakan filem Bollywood sulung bagi pelakon Malayalam, Prithviraj.
