Parisian philosophy teacher Clement is transferred to Arras, a quiet northern town far from Paris. His world turns upside down here as he is not used to the country life, until he meets Jennifer, an attractive young hair stylist who enjoys singing karaoke with her friends. The two embark on a passionate love affair but their social and cultural gap mars the relationship.
