Julius Caesar plans to wipe out the entire Gaulish village because the villagers rebel against him. Caesar wants to absorb them into Roman culture by having an estate built next to the village as a way to start a new Roman colony.

The Good, the Bad and Animated:

• The movie is entertaining as it integrates modern elements in it, the anachronism makes for one interesting watch.

• The storytelling is sloppy, the middle part only drags the whole thing down and could've been done better.

• Fans of puns and wordplay will enjoy the dialogues.

Trivia:

• This is the first all CGI "Asterix" feature film.
