"Highland Tower" is a horror film directed by well-known local director Pierre Andre, who previously directed the film "Al Hijab", and this time he came up with the latest thrilling horror fest which arrived just in time for Halloween this year.

The film fully utilizes the concept of "found footage" and it gave us every little bit of movement shown in the 'found footage camera' in the dark. With everything recorded and shown, it alarmed us even more when we see those objects with long hair move and appear in buildings.

Most of the time, the reviewer had his eyes shut as the film was packed and full of suspense elements, shock and noise aspects which added to the eeriness of this film.

As the director said, it is based on a 'true story' but he added a little bit more story into the film, and to maintain the origins of the recording they shot at the exact location of the incident in Highland Tower.

The movie "Highland Tower" stars mostly new actors who successfully played their characters perfectly and sometimes we can see that there are some funny elements inserted to reduce the fear. We could also appreciate how the added comedy was a great addition to the film as actor Eddy Rauf shows us how well he can portray a funny character in seriously scary situations.

Amongst the new actors in this film are Mikial Andre, Niezam Zaidi, Eddy Rauf, Atikah Suhaime, Shima Anuar, Adibah Yunus and Zairi Zainal who play a group of paranormal investigators obsessed with all things mystical.

In conclusion, this film is not a waste to watch especially to the horror movie fans who want to watch a movie that promises a thousand and one heartbeats a minute.
