The Good, the Bad and the Ghost Wedding:

Though this ghost movie is tagged as comedy, it really leans more toward light-hearted drama, which is not a bad thing at all. The movie's sole purpose is not to extract laughter, but to deliver an impactful message of love; be it between friends or family. Mark Lee's performance as a father who sticks a little too much to traditions, completely ignoring the fact that his son has a bright mind and does not wish to become the next great medium in the family, is commendable. So is Sandra Ng's performance as a grieving mother, who even after her son's death still dotes on him and buys him things he never asks for. This movie is a teaching moment for parents everywhere, who can relate to these two different parenting styles and realise that children have their boundaries too, no one can be forced to do things they do not want to do. As is the trademark of most Asian comedies (yes, the movie is still categorised under comedy in a way), 'funny' music is used in almost every scene. However, this can be overbearing and takes away from, instead of enhance, the enjoyment of watching the movie. Computer graphics are used heavily to depict the fantasies of Mrs. Wu (Sandra Ng) conversing with her deceased son. Since this is not a heavy action flick, it is forgivable that the effects are not exactly "Life of Pi"-level.

Look Out For:

The bridal ghosts' chase scene.

Trivia:

The most stressful part of filming for Mark Lee was anytime he had to ride the motorcycle.
