Leo, 11, lives an unexciting life in New York City from being hospitalised because of a mysterious illness. But Leo has a special gift. He can split himself into a hovering intangible form, invisible and impalpable while his physical body remains unconscious. In this form, he can go wherever and do whatever he wants. Meanwhile, a policeman names Alex is laid up in the same hospital after he broke a leg, much to his frustration because he was tracking a bandit nicknamed the Man with the Broken Face, who plans to take control of the city with the help of a computer virus. Leo and Alex will have to join forces to save the city and they have less than 24 hours to do it.

Leo, seorang budak lelaki berusia 11 tahun, tinggal di Bandar New York dan dimasukkan ke hospital kerana mempunyai penyakit misteri. Tetapi Leo juga mempunyai keistimewaan iaitu rohnya boleh keluar dari tubuh badannya. Dalam bentuk roh, dia boleh pergi ke mana sahaja dan buat apa yang dimahukan tanpa orang nampak. Sementara itu, seorang anggota polis bernama Alex terbaring di hospital sama selepas patah kaki ketika menjejaki penjahat yang digelar 'Man with the Broken Face', yang merancang untuk mengambil alih bandar dengan bantuan virus komputer. Leo dan Alex perlu bekerjasama bagi menyelamatkan bandar dan mereka mempunyai tempoh kurang 24 jam untuk melakukannya.
