Set in Busan in 1978. Eun-Joo, a girl from a wealthy family gets kidnapped but when two weeks pass with no contact from her kidnapper, she is presumed dead. Unwilling to give up, the girl`s mother seeks help from fortune-tellers until one Kim Joong-San tells her that Eun-Joo is still alive. Not only that, he also suggests that she can be saved by veteran detective Gong Gil-yong. When approached with the case, the detective is sceptical of Kim`s words but he agrees anyway to conduct a secret investigation with him to bring home the girl. His trust in Kim gradually grows when some of the man`s predictions come true.

Berlatarbelakangkan pada tahun 1978 di Busan, di mana seorang kanak-kanak bernama Eun-Joo, yang datang dari keluarga kaya telah diculik. Pihak polis membuat kenyataan bahawa kanak-kanak itu telah mati berikutan mereka tidak menerima sebarang panggilan daripada penculik selama dua minggu. Ibu dan makciknya cuba meminta bantuan daripada penilik nasib, sehinggalah salah seorang daripada mereka, Kim Joong-San, mengatakan Eun-Joo masih hidup dan boleh diselamatkan dengan bantuan Detektif Gong Gil-Yong. Walaupun sangsi dengan Kim, detektif itu bersetuju untuk bekerjasama dengannya untuk menyiasat kes penculikan itu secara rahsia. Lama-kelamaan Gong mula mempercayai kebolehan meramal penilik nasib itu.
