A biopic of the famous painter Margaret Keane (Amy Adams), whose artistic style of painting children portraits with abnormally big eyes made it her distinct trademark. The story explores the rise of popularity - not of her rightful talent - but of her paintings for which her cunning husband (Christoph Waltz) took credit for. But over time when the feminist movement takes place, Margaret gets an awakening.

The Good, the Bad and the Stolen Credit

• Unlike most of Tim Buton's film style, this movie is not dark or gothic but rather sad and touching.

• The film is also dramatic in a fun and artistic way.

• Amy Adams played a lovable and pitiable character that everyone loves while Christoph Waltz is so good as the horrid husband, that he will make you hate him to the core.

Trivia

• In the scene where Margaret and Walter are painting in front of the San Francisco palace of Fine Arts, the real Margaret Keane can be seen reading a book on the park bench behind both of them.
