Long Long Time Ago

The story spans from 1965 to early 1970s. During the time, heavily pregnant Zhao Di was chased out by her husband`s family. She gave birth to twins, and one of them had two moles on her face, which was said to be bad luck. She gave up that daughter due to the pressure of wanting to build a better life for the rest of her family. With Zhao Di`s indomitable spirit, and with the help of her family, they went through adversities, witnessed the changes through the years, and accompanied every step of the nation`s growth in its early years.
Berlatarkan tahun 1965 sehingga awal 1970an, ia mengisahkan tentang perjalanan sebuah keluarga dari kampung ke HDB, ketika era Singapura membangun. Pada 9 Ogos 1965, Zhao Di yang sarat mengandung telah dihalau keluar oleh keluarga suaminya. Pada malam dia dihalau, dia telah melahirkan pasangan kembar, Shun Fatt dan Su-mei. Su-mei lahir mempunyai 2 tahi lalat di wajahnya, dan ia dikatakan pembawa nasib cukup malang untuk keluarga. Zhao Di terpaksa memberi Su-mei kepada keluarga lain. Zhao Di berazam untuk mengubah nasib hidup dan dengan bantuan keluarganya, mereka melalui pelbagai perubahan sepanjang tahun ke tahun berikutnya bersama dengan pembangunan negara semakin pesat setiap tahun.
