After a car accident, a young woman wakes up to find herself trapped in an underground cellar. The man who rescued her told her he has saved her life as the outside environment has become uninhabitable after a chemical attack. Fearing that he had kidnapped her, she decides to escape, no matter what dangers await outside.

The Good, the Bad and the Frightening Monsters:

• The frightening thing about this film is not its scares, screams and special effects, but the strained tension and uncertain suspense that makes this film an epic mystery.

• The film is even better than its predecessor, "Cloverfield" and it bears little to no resemblance to the first film at all as it doesn't utilise the chaotic shaky cam technique to make the story intense.

• With brilliant direction from the director and a remarkable execution from its cast, the plot of the film wonderfully unfolds and each scene of the movie never fails to surprise.
