King Zhou is determined to conquer the Middle Kingdom. After years of slaughter, the unyielding Adept tribes have been eliminated in succession. His opponent, Jiang, discovers a sword that can reverse the adversity. But the power of the Sword of Light is too strong. The Good, the Bad and the Legendary Gods:

• Adapting classic literature into a movie is a norm in China, especially if it's a fantasy literature about demons, gods, or monkey kings, but sometimes, this kind of genre gets old really fast.

• The movie is a huge CGI fest which is also a norm in China. Though the visual effects are eye-popping, not all of them look convincing.

• The movie is also a mix of awkward character developments, cliche jokes and plot elements that you have seen elsewhere.
