The Magnificent Nine (JFF)

During the 18th century in Japan, residents of a poor post-town suffer from land taxes and are forced to do hard labour. Then, an unlikely group of nine small business owners and farmers sets up a plan to save the town. The plan is to lend large amounts of money to the samurai estate and redistribute the interest to the townspeople. As they set the plan in motion, the group is also risking their own heads for the sake of the town`s survival.
Ketika abad ke-18 di Jepun, penduduk miskin di sebuah pekan merana daripada cukai tanah dan dipaksa untuk kerja berat. Kemudian, sekumpulan sembilan ahli perniagaan kecil dan penternak telah membuat perancangan untuk menyelamatkan pekan. Rancangan tersebut adalah memberi pinjaman wang dalam jumlah besar kepada hartanah samurai dan mengedarkan faedah yang diterima kepada penduduk. Sebagaimana rancangan itu dijalankan, mereka juga meletakkan diri mereka dalam keadaan berisiko demi menyelamatkan bandar mereka.
