Kokota: The Islet Of Hope (EFF)

This documentary focuses on the lives of the resilient people of Kokota, who have to adapt to the climate change on their island. Mbarouk, a resident of Pemba Island, notices the water shortage faced by Kokota while he is visiting his friends there. He then works with Canadian tree-planter Jeff Schnurr to introduce reforestation efforts, which will leave a lasting positive impact on Kokota.
Dokumentari ini memaparkan kehidupan penduduk Kokota yang menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan iklim di pulau mereka. Mbarouk, seorang penduduk Pulau Pemba yang melawat rakan-rakannya di Kokota, menyedari penduduknya berdepan masalah kekurangan sumber air. Dengan kerjasama Jeff Schnurr, Mbarouk memperkenalkan aktiviti penghutanan semula kepada Kokota, yang akhirnya meninggalkan impak besar kepada pulau tersebut.
