Tokyo Ghoul

In a world where ghouls, people who can only survive by eating human flesh, live among the normal humans in secret, Ken Kaneki unknowingly goes on a date with a ghoul called Rize Kamishiro. Rize attacks him but dies in a freak accident before she could finish him off. Ken is then sent to the hospital where he undergoes a surgery and Rize`s organs are transplanted into him in an attempt to save his life, thus turning him into a half ghoul. Now, like normal ghouls, Ken must eat human flesh if he wants to live.
Watch this if you liked: “Tokyo Ghoul" anime

The Good, the Bad and the Flesh-eating Monsters:

• Not the best but also not the worst anime to live-action adaptation.

• The movie is disgustingly creepy and bloody like the original, and is quite enjoyable to a certain extent.

• The CGI seems a bit cartoonish, similar to the "Attack on Titan" live action film, and the acting looks a little forced at times.

• Nevertheless, the cast did a great job at portraying tragic and violent tones as well as the psychological elements of the original series.

Trivia:

• "The Last Samurai" (2003), "Kill Bill: Vol. 1" (2003) and "District 9" (2009) are some of the movies that influence the live-action "Tokyo Ghoul".
