Poi E (KKIFF)

The movie tells the story of how "Poi E", a New Zealand 1984 number-one hit song by the group Patea Māori Club, was created and ultimately becomes the unofficial national anthem. In 1980s, the New Zealand charts were dominated by English songs by the likes of Tina Turner and Michael Jackson, but Dalvanius Prime, an imposing Maori with a strong but silky smooth voice, and the singers of the Pātea Māori Club, decides to create a songs that mixes traditional Maori melodies with modern beats, making it a `hymn of a new generation`, and ultimately encouraged many Maori to rediscover their roots.
Ia sebuah filem yang mengisahkan tentang "Poi E", lagu hit nombor satu di New Zealand pada tahun 1984 oleh kumpulan Patea Maori Club, yang dicipta di mana akhirnya menjadi lagu kebangsaan tidak rasmi.
