Goodbye Christopher Robin

Tired of London`s hustle and bustle, writer A.A. Milne decides to move his family and settle in the English countryside. There, he begins creating stories of the growing collection of stuffed animals that his son Christopher Robin has. These small stories are then developed into "Winnie-the-Pooh", published in 1926, and 1928`s "The House at Pooh Corner". Soon, the family is swept into the success of the books, which provide comfort and hope to the rest of post-war England. However, there might be a heavy cost to pay as the eyes of the world are now on Christopher Robin.

The Good, the Bad and the origins of Winnie the Pooh:

• A story based on the origins of the iconic childhood character, "Winnie the Pooh".

• An emotional movie filled with messages highlighting upon post-traumatic stress disorders and parent negligence. The entire story is one giant heart break with its gloomy theme but not to the fact where it's depressing to watch.

• The screenplay of the movie was well written, bringing the best out of the emotions from each scene, accompanied with the moody scores, it's difficult not to shed a tear as the story goes deeper until the end.

• What the movie falters in however is the attempt to highlight multiple issues at once. It tries to do too many things in trying to address too many issues within the duration of the movie, which is a little difficult to take in at times from the overload of information.
