Cafe Funiculi Funicula is run by Nagare Tokita, and his relative Kazu Tokita works there. It is rumoured that there`s a specific seat at the cafe that customers can sit at if they want to travel back to the past. They can travel to a time of their choice as long as they follow the rules. They can`t meet people who haven`t visited the cafe; if they do something different in the past, their present remains the same; if the seat is occupied, they will have to wait until the customer sitting in it leaves; they have to stay in the seat even when they go back to the past; and the length of time they can spend in the past is until the moment the coffee gets cold. At the cafe, four miracles take place.

Cafe Funiculi Funicula diusahakan oleh Nagare Tokita, dan saudaranya Kazu Tokita. Ia dikhabarkan terdapat tempat duduk tertentu di kafe itu di mana pelanggan boleh duduk jika mereka mahu mengembara ke masa lampau. Mereka boleh mengembara ke masa lampau pilihan mereka asalkan mereka mengikut syarat. Syaratnya mereka tidak boleh bertemu dengan orang yang tidak pernah melawat kafe itu; jika mereka mengubah sesuatu pada masa lampau, masa kini mereka akan kekal sama; jika tempat duduk itu diduduki, mereka perlu menunggu sehingga pelanggan yang duduk itu bangun; mereka perlu duduk di tempat duduk itu walaupun mereka balik ke masa lampau; dan tempoh mereka boleh meluangkan masa di masa lampau hanyalah sehingga kopi mereka sejuk. Di kafe itu, empat keajaiban berlaku.
