Lying To Mom (JFF)

Fumi`s brother Koichi is a hikikomori or a recluse who shut themselves at home. When one day he decides to commit suicide, his mother discovers his lifeless body and faints from the shock. After 49 days, she regains consciousness but she has no memory of Koichi`s death. Not wanting to tell her, Fumi lies and says that Koichi is no longer a recluse and has moved to Argentina for work.
Anak sulung dalam keluarga Suzuki, Koichi, seorang 'hikikomori', iaitu seseorang yang mengelakkan interaksi sosial. Dia yang kemudiannya mati bunuh diri menyebabkan keluarga itu bingung dan berkabung atas kematiannya. Individu yang paling terkesan adalah ibunya, Yuko, yang pengsan dan kemudian hilang ingatan selepas bangun dari koma 49 hari kemudian. Lebih menyedihkan, keluarganya menyedari bahawa Yuko menganggap Koichi masih hidup.
