Movie Details

Single mother Kaori finds that raising her teen daughter, Futaba, is quite a chore since the high schooler is in a rebellious phase and likes to ignore her. In order to communicate, and also as revenge, Kaori creates messages in Futaba`s bento (lunchboxes).

Berlatarbelakangkan pulau Hachijojima, tinggal seorang ibu tunggal, Kaori, dan anak perempuannya yang masih bersekolah tinggi, Futaba. Kaori melakukan dua pekerjaan demi menampung anaknya namun Futaba adalah seorang gadis degil dan tidak mahu menolong ibunya. Demi memberi pengajaran dan berkomunikasi dengan Futaba, Kaori menggunakan cara yang unik, iaitu menulis mesej di dalam bento (bekas makanan tengahari) anaknya.
