Ian and Barley Lightfoot are two elf brothers living in a suburban fantasy world, where no humans exist and it is instead populated by creatures like elves, trolls, mermaids and more. One day, the two teens embark on a journey to discover if there is still magic left in the world. They are hoping to use magic to spend one day with the father they lost when they were still too young to remember him. When one of them later tries to bring their father back using a spell, only the bottom half of their father appears. As the spell only lasts for 24 hours, they must find a way to bring back the rest of him, not just his legs, before they run out of time.

Ian dan Barley Lightfoot merupakan adik beradik bunian yang tinggal di pinggir bandar sebuah dunia fantasi, di mana manusia tidak wujud. Sebaliknya ia didiami oleh makhluk seperti bunian, troll, ikan duyung dan macam-macam lagi. Suatu hari, kedua-dua remaja itu memulakan pengembaraan demi meneroka jika masih ada lagi kuasa magik di dunia. Mereka berharap untuk menggunakan kuasa magik bagi meluangkan masa sehari bersama bapa mereka, yang meninggal ketika mereka masih kecil. Apabila salah seorang daripada mereka cuba menghidupkan semula bapa mereka menggunakan satu sihir, hanya bahagian bawah badan bapa mereka yang muncul. Memandangkan sihir itu hanya bertahan selama 24 jam, mereka perlu mencari jalan untuk mengembalikan bahagian atas badan bapa mereka sebelum terlambat.
