After their mother`s death, sisters Olivia and Claire are sent to live with their Aunt Beth, a mysterious woman who lives alone in a house where the mirrors are either covered or hidden. With their father away on a business trip, the girls have no choice but to stay at the creepy house. They are forbidden from entering the basement but the younger of the two siblings, Claire, sneaks in there, only to discover a mirror from which she inadvertently releases a malevolent entity that now wreaks havoc in their aunt`s house.

Olivia dan adiknya Claire telah dihantar ke rumah makcik mereka, Beth, selepas ibu mereka meninggal dunia dan bapa mereka terpaksa melanjutkan tempoh kerjanya di luar kawasan. Setibanya di rumah itu, Beth memberi amaran supaya jangan masuk ke dalam bilik bawah tanah yang berkunci. Apa yang membuatkan mereka bertambah pelik adalah selepas menyedari semua cermin di rumah itu ditutup atau disorokkan. Tanpa menghiraukan amaran makciknya, Claire menyelinap masuk ke dalam bilik bawah tanah itu dan menemui sebuah cermin, dan tidak sengaja membebaskan satu makhluk jahat yang ganas.
