The Tiger's Apprentice

A movie adaptation of Laurence Yep`s fantasy novel of the same name, which revolves around a Chinese American boy named Tom. He lives in San Francisco`s Chinatown with his eccentric grandmother, who, he later discovers, is the guardian of the phoenix egg. After his grandmother loses in a battle and perishes, Tom finds himself unwittingly thrown into a magical world, where he soon falls under the tutelage and protection of a shape-shifting talking tiger called Mr. Hu.

Dia tinggal di Chinatown San Francisco bersama neneknya yang bersikap aneh, yang mana dia kemudiannya mendapati neneknya merupakan penjaga telur Phoenix. Selepas neneknya kalah dalam satu pertarungan dan meninggal dunia, Tom mendapati dirinya kini terjebak dalam sebuah dunia magik, di mana dia berada di bawah jagaan dan asuhan oleh seekor harimau yang boleh berubah bentuk bernama Mr. Hu.
