Seven years before the mystical city of Saranjana opens, Rusmiati and Badri marry despite an amen of misfortune. As they remain childless, Rusmiati turns to Kuyang, dark magic promising eternal beauty. When her dark practice is exposed, the villagers` fury turns to an enraged mob. Badri is forced to choose between protecting his wife and yielding to his community.

Tujuh tahun sebelum kota mistik Saranjana dibuka, Rusmiati dan Badri berkahwin biarpun ada petanda buruk yang menyelubungi mereka. Disebabkan mereka masih belum dikurniakan anak, Rusmiati berpaling kepada Kuyang, ilmu hitam yang menjanjikan kecantikan abadi. Apabila amalan syiriknya itu terbongkar, kemarahan penduduk kampung bertukar menjadi amukan yang membara. Badri terpaksa memilih sama ada mahu melindungi isterinya atau tunduk kepada tuntutan masyarakat kampung.
