Zhao Yanhong, a spirited woman in her seventies who refuses to accept a quiet and predictable life in a nursing home. When she unexpectedly discovers her remarkable talent for solving Magic Cubes, she embarks on an extraordinary journey that challenges society`s perceptions of ageing. Along the way, she meets Wu Youwei, a former Magic Cube world champion whose once-promising career has stalled and who now runs a humble night market stall. Despite their contrasting personalities and generations, the unlikely duo gradually forms a unique mentor-student relationship, pushing one another to overcome setbacks and prepare for competitive tournaments that ultimately transform both their lives.
